Omega per James Bond

La celebre spia inglese, nata dalla fantasia di Fleming, è stata dotata di un Omega Seamaster nel film Golden Eye del 1995.

Fleming’s idea of a British spy was sucesful in many movies. Pierce Brosnan-James Bond worn an Omega for the first time in “Golden Eye”(1995) and got it fo other times till 2002, before James Craig’s arrival in 2006. Today Omega has realized a special limited version of 257 set with two watches, one in steel and one in gold, tribute to James Bond’s 50°anniversary movie of 1969.

Omega Seamaster Ultralight

Il 27 Agosto la Marca di Bienne ha presentato il Seamaster Aqua Terra Ultralight, un orologio sottile e resistente, ideato per il golf e che si è avvalso della consulenza del brand Ambassador Rory Mcllroy, eccellente golfista, che il 29 Agosto a Crans Montana ha preso parte, con Sergio Garcia e Tom Fleetwood al torneo Pro-Am iniziato il 28 Agosto; tutti hanno indossato il nuovo orologio scegliendolo nei diversi colori disponibili.

On August 27th Omega unveiled new Seamaster Aqua Terra Ultralight and during Omega European Masters Pro–Am, on August 28th, R.Mcllroy, S.Garcia and T.Fleertwood wore the new watch, star, during the night, of a gala event.

… era una canzone degli anni ’60/70, quando per me gli orologi erano solo uno strumento per vedere l’ora…poi il fascino delle lancette mi ha conquistato sotto il profilo della meccanica e delle soluzioni ideate dall’uomo che in uno spazio minimo ha concentrato ciò che il nostro satellite aveva già rivelato agli astronomi di un lontano passato. Oggi l’anniversario dell’allunaggio di Apollo 11 ha fatto tornare d’attualità molti ricordi.

Eccoci a scrivere ancora di un anniversario che coinvolge l’Omega più amato, lo Speedmaster della Luna, che di date e di edizioni commemorative ne ha viste molte.

Another Speedmaster Anniversary after 50 years from moon-landing on 1969 July, available in gold or steel, both with Caliber 3861 and many symbols of Apollo 11 Mission. A party has been organized by Omega in U.S. some months ago, hosting NASA astronauts and technicians, while Swatch Group Italy will remember the event in Milano on next May 22nd.

125° Anniversario per Omega

Omega ha festeggiato a Bienne i 125 anni del nome che l’ha resa famosa nel mondo. Un nome che era stato suggerito ai fratelli Louis-Paul e Cesar Brandt dal loro banchiere, Henri Rieckel, al quale i due imprenditori avevano mostrato il Tasca Calibro 19’’ , che inaugurava una nuova era industriale.

125th anniversary of the name Omega (the last word of greek alfabeto) which was suggested in 1884 to brothers Brandt by the manager of their bank, because of Calibre 19”’ novelties. Today 19 new Caliber 19”’, made also with some original components of the past, will be ready for pocket watches, while a limited anniversary edition of De Ville Trésor shows a red dial. Leggi tutto
